Pylon attempts to match incoming issues with existing accounts wherever possible. On occasion, a duplicate account may be created.

For example, if a customer with email bob@company1.com reaches out once before his company email is changed to bob@company.org, two accounts in Pylon may be created.

Merging Accounts

Only certain types of accounts can be merged.

Account merges cannot be undone!

  1. Select an account from your account list.

  2. Click Merge Account from the menu on the right side.

  1. Select a duplicate account you wish to merge into the currently selected account. Certain data on the duplicate account including issues and contacts will be permanently moved onto the selected account and other data like tags and custom fields as well as the duplicate account itself will be permanently deleted.
